Way Up There is the home of artist Simon Welford. Working out of Leicester, Simon’s work has been gaining popularity over the past couple of years thanks to the work he has done for UK band Ride and also the solo art exhibitons he has been doing around the globe.
Having worked in many mediums including painting and digital print, Simon was asked to produce a range of prints for UK band Ride which proved very popular with fans. His work for Ride was also used in the movie “Upside Down – The Creation Records Story”, which hit cinema’s in 2011.
The prints for Ride have sold well globally, with sales as far a field as Japan, USA and Australia thus enhancing Welford’s name and work. During 2010 and 2011 Simon has held successful art exhibitions in the UK and Australia. These include 'Creations', a joint exhibition with fellow artist Alex Lowe.
Simon Welford continues to create imaginative and creative pieces which are available for exhibition and sale and will be added to the website as and when available. Simon is now concentrating mainly on his abstract painting and holding further exhibitions in cities around the world.
